The integrative sphere manufactured by Avantes in the Netherlands is a multi-use integrative sphere with an original structure that collects and measures light, suitable for all applications.

The AvaSphere-IRRAD for light measurement is available in inner diameters of 30, 50, and 80 mm, and has an SMA port for the spectrometer located at a 90° position on the side. Traditionally, it has been difficult to obtain large-sized optical integrating spheres at a high cost, but now they can be manufactured at a reasonable price. When used in conjunction with our high-sensitivity, high-resolution compact spectrometer, high-precision total luminous flux measurements can be conducted on samples such as lighting modules and backlights. The internal coating features a multi-layer application of barium sulfate with an average reflectance of over 97% in the visible range, making it comparable to conventional products from other manufacturers.
